Sounds of Deep Ellum is a limited-edition album commemorating Deep Ellum’s 150th Anniversary, featuring 10 of Dallas’ hottest recording artists. Watch this breathtaking concert, filmed live at Trees in Dallas on October 5th, 2022 and witness the next chapter of Deep Ellum history.
“Deep Ellum is its own little Universe sitting in the middle of a progressive and thriving metropolis. Its past and present merge to form a rich musical historical legacy. This hallowed ground is the musical birthplace of Blind Lemon Jefferson, Lead Belly, T Bone Walker, Erykah Badu, The New Bohemians, Charlie Crockett, and Leon Bridges.
A hundred years after Lead Belly busked alongside Blind Lemmon Jefferson on the streets of Deep Ellum, the music scene continues to thrive. The preservation of Deep Ellum is essential and the “Sounds of Deep Ellum” album serves as proof of the importance of this iconic neighborhood.
