Flower Child, also known as FloZilla is an explosive fast-flowing lyricist that got her start in Dallas’ Deep Ellum music scene in 2014. She is a carnival of sound, mixings elements of Soul, Hip Hop, Deep Harmonic Vocals and Mad Spit Game. Try if you like, but you cannot question her ability to take you on a soulfully, sensual journey. Flower Child has been quoted as saying vibration and frequency are the things that inspire her work and she is a master at communicating positivity through melody and sound.
Growing up in a musical family played an integral in her becoming an unshakable lyrical empress. Flower Child fully embodies the life of an artist and it is obvious her gift is not a fluke. Her grandfather, a music professor at Tennessee State University, and her mother, a classically trained pianist, were two very influential persons in her life. This gifted Flower recalls singing in church throughout her childhood and picking up a pen at the age of 8. A seasoned writer and lyricist indeed.
Flowerchild keeps her eye on the musical prize, while carefully crafting a future as an entrepreneur as well. With the wealth of knowledge that she has acquired throughout her journey, this artist is adamant about one day creating jobs and having the ability to take care of her family.
“I create music that is uplifting and positive for all of humanity and have been actively performing in the community over the past five years. I’d like for my musical gifts to open more doors to make way for me to be a full time professional musician.” Words of a legend in the making.
