Romana's story is one of immense courage and resilience. She turned to cannabis as a means of healing from the severe sexual trauma she endured during her time in the Navy over three decades ago. Women like Romana are shining examples of strength and love, fighting tirelessly for change in our country.
Sexual assault in the military is an all too common occurrence, and the victims of these heinous crimes are often treated worse than their perpetrators. The prescribing cascade of pharmaceuticals these victims receive only worsens their mental state, leading to higher rates of suicide. But there is a better alternative - cannabis.
